Winning Leads AB is responsible for the processing described in this policy where it acts as the data controller.

Data you provide directly

The site does not currently require user accounts, comments, newsletter registration or an on-site contact form.

If you email us, we process the information in your message, your email address and related correspondence so we can answer the enquiry, handle a correction request or manage a legitimate business relationship.

Do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the request.

Technical delivery and security data

Like most websites, the hosting and delivery infrastructure may process technical request data needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user-agent information and security-related request metadata.

Such data may be retained for limited periods for reliability, abuse prevention, troubleshooting and security.

GetYourGuide and affiliate features

Ten Days in Costa Rica currently uses GetYourGuide as an approved activity affiliate partner.

Relevant pages load GetYourGuide's Integration Analyzer and may display GetYourGuide activity widgets. When those third-party resources load, your browser communicates with GetYourGuide infrastructure and technical request information such as IP address, browser/device information and page/referral context may be processed by that provider.

GetYourGuide's current partner documentation states that its Integration Analyzer does not drop third-party cookies. It also states that affiliate attribution uses first-party cookies on GetYourGuide and that attribution may be affected if a user rejects, deletes or blocks those cookies.

If you click a GetYourGuide link or widget and continue to GetYourGuide, its own privacy, cookie and booking terms apply to that service.

Ten Days in Costa Rica does not receive your payment-card details or full booking data simply because you complete a booking with an external affiliate partner.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site does not currently operate a first-party analytics platform, advertising platform, user-account system or other first-party marketing tracker.

Based on the current GetYourGuide partner documentation, the Integration Analyzer itself does not drop third-party cookies on this site. We therefore do not introduce a site-level cookie-consent banner solely for the current GetYourGuide integration.

Affiliate attribution after a reader follows a GetYourGuide integration is handled on GetYourGuide using its first-party cookie system and is subject to GetYourGuide's own consent and cookie settings.

This assessment must be revisited if GetYourGuide changes its integration behavior or if Ten Days in Costa Rica later adds analytics, advertising, personalization or another technology that uses non-essential browser storage or tracking.

Legal bases

Depending on the processing, Winning Leads AB may rely on:

• legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the website;
• legitimate interests in responding to ordinary enquiries and maintaining business correspondence;
• compliance with legal obligations;
• consent where applicable law requires it.

Recipients and international processing

Technical service providers and third-party integrations may process data on our behalf or as independent controllers.

Affiliate partners operate their own services and publish their own privacy information. Their processing locations and safeguards are governed by their own arrangements and applicable law.

Email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, business relationship, legal obligation or legitimate record-keeping purpose.

Technical/security logs are retained according to the relevant infrastructure provider's operational and security settings.
