Reader usefulness comes first

Each page should solve a real travel-planning task. We prefer concrete decision support—routes, tradeoffs, timing, activity differences and practical constraints—over generic destination filler.

We do not create near-duplicate pages simply to target small keyword variations.

Sources and factual verification

For facts that can materially change a trip, we prefer primary or authoritative sources where available. Examples include:

• Costa Rican government agencies and park authorities;
• official reserve or attraction information;
• airports and transport operators;
• official tourism organizations;
• established operators for the details of their own services.

Time-sensitive pages may carry internal freshness metadata so opening hours, reservation systems, access rules or similar details can be reviewed again.

Exact prices and schedules are included only when they materially help the reader and can be verified. When a durable explanation is more useful than a number likely to become stale, we prefer the durable explanation.

First-hand experience

We do not imply that an editor personally visited, tested or booked an experience unless that first-hand basis is genuine and attributable.

Research-based guidance is written as research-based guidance.

Recommendations and comparisons

A recommendation should explain why an option may fit a traveler.

We avoid unexplained “best” rankings where the real answer depends on budget, location, fitness, group type, transport or preferred travel style.

Wildlife sightings, weather and other inherently variable outcomes are never treated as guaranteed.
